AFA

This is the first time i posted something not related to my sketches and art. was worried my blog may get really bored so i thought how about adding some life into it lol, here goes the first post of my life. about the recent Anime Festival Asia 2008 that i went to. was there for the two full days, it was really shack. got to see alot of artworks and concepts, cosplayers, animation by Studio 4℃, lots of toys and figurines on sale, took a few photos. i was mesmerized by some of the drawings i saw there. the perspective view and the details, especially the curve perspective that you dun usually see, the concepts was really nice though,i did took some photos of the drawings.
Saw some gundam models and some anime figurines on display. i was stunned by one of the cosplayers who cosplay as gundam exia! it was really amazing, i keep wondering how he find the time and all the material parts to make the whole costume out, it look so exactly like the gundam exia statue that was on display there at the convention lol :p
oh ya almost forgot. i got to play street fighter 4 at the arena there. it was freaking awesome, the gameplay and the art style of the whole game was simply stunning. but i am still no good in fighting games. use ken but loses in the 4 stage, lol.
the second day during the evening was the most awesome, get to see May'n live performance at AFA08, the first time i get to hear a jap singer singing live , it was a one time experience. the whole crowd were really high lol

Develop from a concept sketch i posted earlier. Last sat i went to a digital painting workshop at orchard by noise singapore. i was eager to try out the technique that the person teach. although it's just burn, dodge and smudge tool, it can still work wonders if you know how to use it and also using the tools and function in Photoshop to it fullest, sometimes it can give you a surprise. Practise makes perfect, i hope i have improve in my painting as i always have alot of troubles when comes to painting, hope it doesn't look too bad, above is the sketch and colour version of the character. as this is for a card game, i am thinking of adding equipment and some other things to this guy. there are other concept sketches i want to try designing also from my previous post. no harm drawing lol 0_o
